WASHINGTON COUNTY 4-HERS PLACE WELL AT RODEO AUSTIN

  

Rodeo Austin rounded out the major show season for many successful Washington County 4-Hers recently in Austin, Texas.  The livestock show saw participation from the county in the areas of market steers, beef skillathon, junior breeding heifers, poultry, lamb and barrow competitions.

Participating in the market steer show was McKenzie Tiemann who placed 2^nd in a class of ABC (American Breeds and Crosses) steers and Ali Tiemann who exhibited a AOC (All Other Crosses) steer, earning 5^th place.  Both of these steers were eligible for the market steer sale at Rodeo Austin.

Participating in the Beef Skillathon from Washington County were Lonna Wunderlich who was 4^th place Junior Individual and Hailey Rudloff who was 7^th place Intermediate Individual.

In the poultry show, there were several participants and winners from our area.  Those participating from Washington County included: 

Kyle Patranella – Reserve Champion Cockerels and in the Sale of Champions

Landon Flisowski – 12^th place Cockerels and in the market sale

Haylie Niemeyer – 13^th place Pullets and in the market sale

Adilynn Lange – 10^th place Pullets and in the market sale

Kinsley Wallace participated in the poultry show

Kendal Gurka exhibited a Finewool Cross Lamb, earning 7^th place in class.

Exhibiting a market barrow was Hank Majewski who earned 1^st in class in the Dark Cross class and was a contender in the Division drive and also earned a spot in the market sale.

Exhibiting junior breeding heifers at Rodeo Austin with the following favorable results includes:

Kennedy Ashorn – Simmental – 1^st place in class and Reserve Division Champion

Landon Flisowski – Beefmaster – 6^th place in class and 4^th place in class

Hailey Rudloff – Beefmaster – 8^th place in class

Lena Ruemke – Brahman – 5^th place in class and 9^th place in class

Matthew Philips – Santa Gertrudis – 6^th place in class

Lonna Wunderlich – Santa Gertrudis – 3^rd place in class

Nolan Wunderlich – Santa Gertrudis – 6^th place in class

Madison Moran – Santa Gertrudis – 1^st place in class and contender in Division Drive

Calvin Wunderlich – Santa Gertrudis – 2^nd place in class

Gretchen Merten – Brangus – 1^st place in class, Division Champion, contender in Breed Drive

Dawson Moran – Brangus – 3^rd place in class

Dawson Moran – ARB (American Registered Breeds) – 2^nd place in class

Jonathan Faske – ARB –  10^th place in class

Bethany Faske – ARB –  2^nd place in class
