METH, FENTANYL SEIZED IN DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION IN AUSTIN / WALLER COUNTIES
Two Houston men face drug charges stemming from an investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in the Austin County / Waller County area.
On Wednesday, the Westside Narcotics Task Force conducted a narcotics operation that resulted in the arrest of 35-year-old Oswaldo Cuero Guerrero and 32-year-old Javari Shandale Head-Mitchell, as well as the seizure of methamphetamine, fentanyl and a weapon.
The two were arrested in the 35000 block of I-10 in Brookshire. The task force says the men were in possession of 361.53 grams of methamphetamine, 87.18 grams of fentanyl and a loaded handgun.
Both men were booked into the Waller County Jail for Manufacture / Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Guerrero was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Task force officers were assisted in the operation by Waller County Sheriff’s Office patrol units and members of the Austin County Regional Special Response Team.
