BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET ON TUESDAY

  

The Burton City Council will be taking up multiple items during their next meeting on Tuesday evening.

The council is scheduled to approve a contract for services to maintain city owned property regarding groundskeeping and vegetation management.

They will also discuss a contract between the City of Burton and Brenham ISD for assessment and collection services for property taxes and authorizing Washington County Chief Appraiser Dyann White to calculate the City of Burton Tax Rate.

There is a resolution before council members to appoint the Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator as the City of Burton Emergency Management Coordinator.

The Council will also look at the purchase of a laptop computer for Mayoral use, and budget amendments for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.

In addition to that, the meeting features a presentation from Chief Billy Jasinski regarding the Burton Volunteer Fire Department.

The Burton City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Burton City Hall.
