Skyrocket!, based out of Austin, will entertain crowds with its large repertoire at tomorrow (Saturday) night’s concert at 7 p.m., playing at the corner of Alamo and Baylor Streets.

Brenham Main Street Manager Leigh Linden says the cover band has built quite a following with its collection of songs from the ‘70s, ‘80s and some more modern hits.

The free concert will also feature the Stray Katz Car Club’s classic car cruise-in at the west end of Alamo Street, along with food and drinks from local businesses and vendors.

The performance is presented by the City of Brenham and sponsored by Brenham National Bank, Seidel Schroeder, Dahmann and Associates and Must Be Heaven.

The local musician series provided by Visit Brenham on the Alamo Alley stage will host Jake Waylon, whose sound is influenced by Neil Young, Billy Joe Shaver and John Prine.  Waylon will play from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and during the main band’s first intermission.

KTEX-106’s Dean Dillon will introduce Skyrocket! on stage.
