SIX SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT
Six people pleaded guilty and were sentenced this week in 21st District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.
33-year-old Daniel Alberto Reyes of McAllen had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 4 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone, a second degree felony. He was also fined $500.
23-year-old Hector Raul Flores of Bellville was sentenced to 3 years in prison for two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, both second degree felonies.
42-year-old Tiffany Lashay Cunningham of Beaumont was sentenced to 8 months in state jail for three counts of Abandoning or Endangering a Child with Intent to Return, all state jail felonies.
37-year-old Christopher Lee Galaviz Sr. of Brenham was sentenced to 6 years’ probation for Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, a third degree felony. He was also fined $1,500 and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim or her children. He was also convicted of Class A misdemeanor Injury to a Child and given time served on that charge.
43-year-old Heather Wilson of Brazoria was sentenced to 18 days in the Washington County Jail for Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution of a Known Felon, a Class A misdemeanor.
31-year-old Sahvanna White of Bellville was sentenced to 2 years’ deferred adjudication probation for Class A misdemeanor Abandoning or Endangering a Child with Intent to Return. She is also required to perform 50 hours of community service.
