CUBETTES OPEN SEASON WITH A PAIR OF VICTORIES

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team opened their regular season with a pair of victories yesterday (Monday) afternoon at Bryan High School.

In the first match, the Cubettes swept the Klein Ladycats 3-0. Brenham won by scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-20.

Rylee Somerlatte: 10 kills and 4 blocks

Charli Crowson: 7 kills, 5 aces, and 17 assists

Lillie Thibodeaux: 7 kills

Sienna Kelm: 15 digs

Kristen Kuehn: 13 digs

Brooklin Frazier: 11 digs

Then in the second match of the afternoon, the Cubettes defeated the Bryan Lady Vikings 3-1. Brenham won the first set 26-24. Bryan came back and won the second set 25-20. The Cubettes then came back to win the last two sets 25-20 and 25-18.

The evening closed with Bryan defeating Klein 3-2 (11-25, 18-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 15-8).

Brenham is now 2-0 on the season. Next up, they will play their home opener against Katy Taylor tonight (Tuesday) at 5:30pm at the Brenham High School Gym.
