BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS TO ONE CALL MONDAY, THREE EARLY TUESDAY

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls between Monday afternoon and this (Tuesday) morning.

The first came in shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday for a gas leak at Higgins Branch, 550 East Blue Bell Road.  Units made location and found the city gas department on location working to stop the leak.  Firefighters stayed on scene until the leak was resolved.

Just after 2:30 a.m. today, units were called out to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, for a fire alarm, but were cancelled enroute.  However, they were called out again a few minutes later and made it to the scene before determining it was a false alarm and resetting the alarm.

Firefighters then went out to Brenham High School, 525 AH Ehrig Drive, around 6:10 a.m. for a fire alarm.  Units made location and reset the fire alarm after checking the building and finding nothing.
