WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court will have multiple items to discuss during their next meeting on Tuesday.

The Commissioners will discuss and possibly approve an interlocal agreement between Austin County and Washington County.

The agreement is for Austin County to loan Washington County one of their employees from the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office. This is to help out while the vacancies in that office are being filled.

They are also scheduled to act upon the benefits effective at the date of hire for the Chief Deputy for the Tax Assessor-Collector’s Office.

There is going to be a resolution before the Commissioners adopting a Commercial Tax Phase-In Agreement between the County and MIC Group.

Other items include a 381 agreement between Washington County and Academy Sports and Outdoors.  The agreement was already approved by the City of Brenham back at their September 7 meeting.

In addition to that, the Commissioners are expected to approve an interlocal agreement with the City of Burton for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to provide law enforcement.

There is also going to be a proclamation recognizing the Prairie View A&M University Extension Program aides for over 30 years of service to the community.

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets on Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
