BRAZOS VALLEY GIVES SURPASSES $1.25 MILLION IN DONATIONS

Preliminary totals show that $1,251,354 was raised on 4,416 donations to 168 participating organizations. That beats last year’s donation total of $1.17 million for 161 nonprofits.
Tuesday marked the end of a monthlong fundraising effort for groups in the seven-county region of the Brazos Valley. They included 123 charities in Brazos County, 20 in Washington County, 14 in Burleson County, seven in Grimes County, two in Leon County, one in Madison County and one in Robertson County.
The fundraiser is put on by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley. All donations pass through directly to the donor’s charity of choice.
