BRENHAM FIREFIGHTERS RESPOND TO TWO ACCIDENTS THURSDAY

Two vehicle accidents were among five calls received for the Brenham Fire Department on Thursday.

Shortly before 8 p.m., the department was dispatched to the 15700 block of Highway 290 West for a report of a transportation incident with entrapment.  Units arrived and found a three-vehicle accident with no one entrapped, but one of the vehicles was fully involved on fire.  Brenham firefighters helped the Burton Volunteer Fire Department extinguish the fire, and once it was out, they returned to service.  One person needed medical treatment.

Just before 10 p.m., BFD members responded to the 5500 block of Highway 105 for a transportation incident with entrapment.  They made it to the scene along with the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department to discover a single vehicle rolled over on its roof, with the driver still inside.  The patient was gotten out from the vehicle by removing the window, and they received medical treatment.  Brenham units cleared the scene and returned to the station, while Meyersville firefighters remained on location.

There were also three alarm calls on Thursday, one at 2:15 p.m. at Germania Insurance and two at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center.  Nothing was found during the calls.
