OVER 160 VOTE EARLY ON OPENING DAY OF CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ELECTION
Early voting got underway on Monday for the statewide constitutional amendment election.
According to Washington County Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, there were 163 voters who came to the ballot box on Monday.
In comparison, 80 people voted on the first day of early voting in the November 2021 constitutional amendment election. The May 2022 joint constitutional election and Brenham ISD bond election drew 235 first-day early voters.
The Washington County Courthouse Annex will be open for early voting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through this Friday. It will resume next week with hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. October 30 – November 1, with extended hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. November 2 – 3. Election Day is November 7th.
