52ND ANNUAL COW-CALF CLINIC FRIDAY AT WASHINGTON CO. EXPO

  

The South Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic will be at the Washington County Expo tomorrow (Friday) for its 52nd annual installment.

The clinic provides an opportunity to learn from experts in beef cattle operations, meet with producers and tradeshow vendors, watch live cattle demonstrations and win prizes.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with the program following from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

This year’s program will cover Maximizing Profits through Management with Adaptive Technologies. 

Featured speakers are Tim Lockhart, National Business Development Manager at Ranchbot and the owner of Cattle in Motion; Dr. Barron Rector of the Texas A&M University Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management; Lee Ellsworth, Territory Manager of Gallagher Animal Management - Texas, New Mexico, Arizona; Dr. Jason Cleere of the Texas A&M University Department of Animal Science; and Dr. Joe Paschal, Executive Vice President of the American Brahman Breeders Association.

Each year, the Washington County Beef Committee and Texas Farm Credit partner to sponsor a giveaway for one lucky attendee to win a free heifer.

On-site registration is $30 per person. 

The program is organized by the county extension agents and beef and forage committees of Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lee, Waller and Washington counties.
