FAST MOVING COMMISSIONERS COURT MEETING

  

It was a fast-moving County Commissioners Tuesday morning where the Commissioners approved a new Ambulance Module for EMS and Canceled the bids on a new chiller for the courthouse.

County EMS Director Keven Deramus said that the new module should be ready in 9 months to a year and the Washington County Facilities Manager Bobby Branham said that the new chiller bid now has the proper specifications.  The bids were canceled because Carrier Air Conditioning stopped making the model that the county was seeking bids for.

After a short executive session, the court reconvened to approve the purchase of real property at the agreed upon price.

In other action, the court approved:

  • Purchasing a 3-year contract with Dronesense for the Sheriff’s Office.
  • Enrolling in Texas Association of Counties cybersecurity training for the 2024 reporting year.
  • An oil and gas development permit for Watt Energy, LLC on Janner Kuecker Lane in Precinct 3.
  • Proficiency certificates and incentive pay for licensed telecommunications personnel.
  • A 90-day extension of time to use vacation hours for Erik Ver Schuur and Justin Knuppel.
