TRESPASSING CALL LEADS TO ARREST OF WASHINGTON MAN

La Travion Denaire Fritzgerald Durisseau (Washington Co. Jail)

A Washington man found out the hard way that it is probably a good idea to get the owner’s permission before going on their property.

According to Patrol Lieutenant David Blakey with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday, Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call near the 16600 block of McCraven School Rd.

Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and first observed an unoccupied Dodge pickup in the middle of the roadway.

Shortly thereafter, they met with a landowner and determined that two or more individuals were believed to be on private property without permission.

Deputies later learned that the individuals had three dogs on location with GPS collars and suspected them of unlawful hunting without landowner permission.

The subjects originally said that the reason for being on private property was due to one of the dogs being lost.

Once all three individuals were off the property and interviewed by Deputies, they learned none of them had permission to be on the property and then claimed they were actually on a property nearby hunting hogs, however, no permission was granted to hunt on that property either.

One of the individuals, who was later identified as 22-year-old La Travion Denaire Fritzgerald Durisseau of Washington, was determined to be intoxicated and was in possession of Marijuana. He was arrested and charged with Failure to Identify, Public Intoxication, and Possession of Marijuana.

Once at the jail, he refused to answer significant booking questions forcing Deputies to transport him to Baylor Scott and White where he refused to cooperate with hospital staff.  He was then transported back to the jail where he was booked in.

Durisseau was released on Friday after posting $4,500 in bonds.

The remaining two individuals were released without charges, but were issued Criminal Trespass warnings.  Texas Game Warden Kyle Yoder assisted Deputies with the investigation.

Sheriff Hanak and Lieutenant Blakey would like to thank all Washington County landowners for being vigilant to trespassers and suspected criminal activity.

They ask that you please do not hesitate to call 911 if an actual emergency exists or call the non-emergency number for all other calls for service.
