BELLVILLE “SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS” FESTIVITIES START SUNDAY

Festivities get underway this weekend for the start of the Bellville "Small Town Christmas" celebration.

The Little Mr. and Miss Small Town Christmas Pageant is being held this Sunday at 6:30pm at the St. John Lutheran Church Faith Center.

The celebration continues on Friday, December 1, at 6pm with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Austin County Courthouse followed by the Bellville Lighted Christmas Parade. 

At 6:30pm, they are going to have Mini-Park Festivities including a real snow slide, an inflated activity area with a swing and an obstacle course, a petting zoo, and mechanical bulls. 

Non-profit food and drink vendors will be open at the Jim Bishop Pavilion.

At 7:30pm, kids can get their pictures taken with Santa in the Mini Park Gazebo.

Rounding out the evening will be a street dance at 8pm featuring music by the Red Bulls.

Then on Saturday, December 2, they are going to have “Market Day Merriment” on the Courthouse Square from 9am-4pm, which features over 85 vendors, food trucks, performances, music, and more.

There is also going to be another 30-plus vendors from 9am-noon at the Jim Bishop Pavilion at Chelsey Park.

Small Town Christmas in Bellville wraps up with a live nativity at St. John’s Lutheran Church from 5:30-7:30pm on Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3.
