#6 BELLVILLE STEAM ROLLS #2 SILSBEE 61-7

The Silsbee Tigers may have been ranked higher, but that didn't matter to the Bellville Brahma Football Team as they came out and took care of business last (Friday) night with a 61-7 victory in the Region Semifinals of the playoffs.

Sam Hranicky got the Brahmas on the board with a 26 yard-TD run to make it 7-0. D.D. Murray and Zach Leuschner had a pair of one yard touchdown runs to put the Brahmas up 21-0. Silsbee was called for intentional grounding in the end zone, which resulted in a safety, and Bellville was up 23-0 after the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Hranicky scored on a one yard touchdown run. Leuschner would then hit Jacob Shepherd on a 10 yard touchdown pass. D.D. Murray followed with a 49 yard touchdown run. Those three scores put Bellville ahead 44-0 going into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, Fernando Grajales kicked a 27 yard field goal. Connor Gaines got in the act with a 52 yard interception return for a touchdown. That made it 54-0 Brahmas going into the fourth quarter.

Corrian Hood added one more touchdown on a 31 yard run to increase the Bellville lead to 61-0. Silsbee finally got a touchdown late in the game to finish the scoring at 61-7.

Sam Hranicky finished with 12 carries, 154 yards, and two touchdowns. D.D. Murray had 14 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns. Corrian Hood carried the ball 10 times for 87 yards and one touchdown.

In addition to the field goal, Fernando Grajales was a perfect eight for eight on his extra points.

Next up, the Brahmas will face Jasper in the Region Championship game. Jasper is coming off of a 28-7 victory over Cuero last (Friday) night. Kickoff is scheduled for Friday, December 1, at 7:30pm at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah.
