FAITH MISSION SERVES HUNDREDS OF THANKSGIVING DAY MEALS

Faith Mission made Thanksgiving a day to remember for hundreds of Washington County citizens during its annual community-wide meal.

Over 600 residents were served on Thursday at the Cannery Kitchen in Brenham.  Over 200 volunteers came out to prepare and serve meals, and they also delivered over 250 meals to seniors and homebound residents.

Faith Mission board member and Thanksgiving meal coordinator Dr. Heather Thielemann called this “the largest homebound meal and dine-in Thanksgiving Day meal in the history of Faith Mission.”  She thanked Gather ‘N Grace for partnering with Faith Mission this year to help put on the event, saying “their impact could be measured on all the smiling faces and full bellies.”

Gather ‘N Grace founder Tara Royer Steele said she is grateful to all of the organization’s volunteers for decorating and serving everyone who came out.  She also thanked Faith Mission for allowing Gather ‘N Grace to contribute.
