WASHINGTON CO. TOYS FOR TOTS TO GIVE TOYS TO 1,000 CHILDREN

  

The Washington County Toys for Tots Toy Drive is making a difference for numerous local children this holiday season.

Organizers for the toy drive say they are serving right at 1,000 kids in Washington County this year, after the community provided donations of new, unwrapped toys and monetary contributions at Toys for Tots boxes set up at schools, businesses and first responder offices.

That total includes about 400 toys received on Sunday during the Lights and Sirens event with first responders at the Fireman’s Training Center in Brenham.

Toys will be distributed to children at two different locations this week.
