SEVEN SENTENCED IN 21ST DISTRICT COURT

  

Seven people pleaded guilty and were sentenced last week in 21st District Court before Judge Carson Campbell.

20-year-old Miracle Monae Parker of Humble was sentenced to 8 years in prison for Aggravated Robbery, a first degree felony. 

48-year-old Jim Edward Brown of Belton was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance, a second degree felony. 

29-year-old Malika Shanice Dubose of Killeen had her probation revoked and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Secure Execution of a Document by Deception $30,000 - $150,000, a third degree felony.  Dubose was also sentenced to 7 months in state jail on three counts of Forgery of a Financial Instrument, a state jail felony.

40-year-old Canon Dawon Woods of Hempstead was sentenced to 4 years in prison for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd or More, a third degree felony.

46-year-old Cheryl Lynn Maynard of Brenham was sentenced to 10 months in state jail for Attempted Possession of a Controlled Substance, a state jail felony.  Maynard also had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 10 months in state jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance, also a state jail felony.  She was also fined $500. 

56-year-old William Albert Burgess of Deer Park was sentenced to 6 months in the Washington County Jail for Theft of Property Less than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions, a state jail felony.

34-year-old Justin Bradley Galyean of Houston was sentenced to 5 years’ probation for Assault of a Family Member with Previous Conviction, a third degree felony.  Galyean was also ordered to pay a $800 fine and $100 family violence fee.  He must also complete an anger management class, batterer’s intervention program and life skills course, in addition to maintaining no contact with the victim or her children in this case.
