BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL APPROVES NEW, RETURNING APPOINTEES TO CITY BOARDS, COMMISSIONS

The City of Brenham approved numerous appointments and reappointments to its advisory boards and commissions during the city council’s meeting on Thursday.

The new and returning member appointments are for the Board of Adjustment, Brenham Community Development Corporation, Building Standards Commission, Historic Preservation Board, Library Advisory Board, Main Street Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Tourism Advisory Board.

Thursday’s action also included approval to increase the size of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board from nine members to 11.

Appointments for the Brenham Police Citizen Advisory Board will come before the council in February.  The Brenham Police Department amended several of the board’s representation categories to better align with the department’s community outreach goals, including adding more minority members and changing the age of the youth representative to allow 18-year-olds to serve.

The full list of appointments and reappointments can be seen here.
