BRENHAM CUBS GET A HOME WIN OVER MONTGOMERY 67-57

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team picked up a 67-57 victory over the Montgomery Bears in District 21-5A action tonight (Friday).

Brenham led after the first quarter 16-12. They also outscored Montgomery 19-12 in the second quarter to take a 35-24 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Montgomery came out in the second half with a 21-14 third quarter to cut the lead to 49-45.

The Cubs came back and put the game away with an 18-12 fourth quarter to win it 67-57.

Elijah Ferguson led Brenham with 22 points, most of which came in the second half. JaKobe Mathis added 18 points. Jmauri Kelly finished with 12 points and Jayden Hebert chipped in with 10 points.

The Cubs are now 19-3 on the season and 2-1 in district.

They will travel to Magnolia West on Tuesday for their next game.
