FIRST EVER FEMALE BLINN BOARD MEMBER SUDIE STARK PASSES AWAY
The first ever female member of the Blinn College Board of Trustees has passed away.
Sudie Lulu Schaer Stark passed away on Sunday at the age of 91 years old. She was the widow of the late Dr. Delbert Stark, and the mother of the late Dr. Robert Stark.
Stark served on the Blinn College Board of Trustees from 1991-2004, and that included a stint as secretary/treasurer from 1992-1996.
In addition to Blinn, Stark was also the first woman board member and Co-Chair of the Brenham Maifest.
She served on many boards including as Chair of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Day School, the St. Paul’s Church Council, the Brenham State School Opportunity Center, Farmer’s State Bank, Stephen Ministers, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Washington County Jaycees, and the Brenham Elks Auxiliary.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Stark have not yet been announced.
