BURLESON COUNTY REPUBLIC PARTY TO HOLD CANDIDATE FORUM

  

The Burleson County Republican Party is going to be hosting an upcoming candidate forum for the contest races in March 5th primary election.

The forum will be held next Thursday, January 18, from 6-8pm at the Caldwell Civic Center.

Contested races include:

County Sheriff – Incumbent Gene Hermes is opposed by Somerville Police Chief Jake Sullivan.

Precinct One Commissioner – Incumbent Dwayne Faust faces challengers Randy Schoppe and James Baldwin.

Precinct Three Commissioner – Incumbent David Hildebrand is against Michelle Mahfouz.

Precinct One Constable – Incumbent Jason Muzny has two opponents: Peter Glidewell and Pacer Lednicky.

Precinct Four Constable – Incumbent John Bennett faces Jason Rhodes.

State Representative District 17 – Incumbent Stan Gerdes takes on Tom Glass

U.S. Representative District 10 – Incumbent Michael McCaul is opposed by Jared Lovelace

While they will be serving pizza at the forum, local residents will bring a snack or a dessert.

The last day to register to vote in the primary is February 5.  Early voting will be held February 20 through March 1.
