ST. PETER’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH TO PROVIDE “ASHES ON THE WAY”
With Ash Wednesday coming up tomorrow (Wednesday), St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Brenham is once again going to be offering “Ashes on the Way.”
People can drive through their parking lot on the Austin Street side of their building and receive the imposition of ashes.
They will be offering the ashes from 7am-9am, and again from 11am-1pm.
St. Peter’s started providing “Ashes on the Way” for those who are unable to attend a church service on Ash Wednesday, which is recognized among Christian denominations as the first official day of Lent.
“Ashes on the Way” was placed on hold temporarily due to COVID, but it was later restarted by the church in 2022.
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, which celebrated their 175th Anniversary last year, is located at 2310 Airline Drive.
