BRENHAM POLICE ARREST THREE ON SUNDAY
Three people were arrested by Brenham police in two separate incidents Sunday night.
Around 9:15 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 2400 block of South Chappell Hill Street. Upon further investigation, the driver, 33-year-old Chasity Ferguson of Brenham, showed an active warrant for her arrest for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
Ferguson was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in under her active warrant. She was also cited for not having a driver’s license.
Shortly after 10:15 p.m., Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street in reference to a narcotic call. Investigation revealed that 34-year-old Alyssa Smith of Pflugerville and 31-year-old Jeremy Wright of Austin were in possession of narcotics.
Smith was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, while Wright was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Both were booked at the Washington County Jail.
