BRENHAM FD RESPONDS TO REPORTS OF ACCIDENT, GAS ODOR
The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Tuesday.
Just before 7:30 a.m., firefighters were dispatched for the hazmat assessment group for a motor vehicle accident at Highway 290 West and Shady Acres Lane. The accident involved an 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle. Units were ultimately cancelled by fire command with no action needed.
At 8:30 p.m., BFD personnel responded for a gas odor in the area of South Chappell Hill Street and Kerr Street, by the Early Childhood Learning Center. They arrived in the area in search of the odor, but were unable to find the odor that the passerby smelled. After checking the area and not finding anything, the fire department returned to service.
