BRENHAM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT GRANTS LOT WIDTH VARIANCE FOR TOWNHOME DEVELOPMENT
The Brenham Board of Adjustment on Monday agreed unanimously to allow lot width variances for a 5-unit townhome development.
The board granted a variance request to Jake Carlile of Arete Property Group, who wishes to replat two undeveloped, unaddressed lots adjacent and east of 1602 Clay Street into five lots to build the townhomes.
Each of the five proposed lots meets the minimum lot area and depth requirements, but the three interior lots have lot widths of 25 feet, below the standard minimum of 30 feet.
The board allowed for the 5-foot lot width variance so long as the minimum lot size of 3,000 square feet is met.
