BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, MARIJUANA

A Brenham man faces controlled substance and marijuana charges after his arrest early this (Wednesday) morning.
A few minutes past 3 a.m., Brenham Police Officer Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Highway 290 West for a vehicle violation.
During the investigation, police determined that 35-year-old Christopher Phillips was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and marijuana.
Phillips was placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram and Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. He was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
