BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO SEVEN CALLS ON FRIDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department had another busy day on Friday as they responded to seven calls, which included five traffic crashes and two alarms sounding.

The first call came in at 8:10am.  Brenham Firefighters were dispatched a traffic incident at the intersection of Tison Street and West Stone Street.  A BFD unit arrived on the scene and found a two-vehicle accident.  BFD members checked for fluids leaking, and found nothing, so they returned to service. 

The second call came in just before 11am.  Brenham Firefighters were called to the scene of a traffic crash located in the 2600 Block of Highway 36 South. Units found a two-vehicle accident. As with the previous call, they checked for fluids leaking, found nothing, and returned to service.

BFD Units were sent to Brenham High School at 525 A.H. Ehrig Drive for a report of an alarm sounding. Firefighters arrive to find the alarm had been reset. They checked the kitchen area, and found no signs of smoke or fire, so they returned to service.

Brenham Firefighters went to the 2600 Block of South Market Street for a transportation incident shortly after 4pm. They arrive to find a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking.  BFD Members used dry absorbent on the spill, and returned to service after both vehicles were cleared from the roadway.

Just before 6pm, BFD Units were dispatched to the 2400 Block of Highway 290 West for a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking. Firefighters used dry absorbent on the spill, and returned to service after both vehicles were cleared from the roadway.

The BFD was sent to the 4000 Block of Highway 36 South for an alarm sounding just before 7pm. They were canceled in route after the proper code was given.

The final call came in right before 9pm at the 1700 Block of South Jackson Street. BFD arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with fluids leaking. They used absorbent on the spill, and return to service after the vehicles were cleared from the roadway.
