CASPER ENDS THE SEASON FOR BLINN WOMEN IN THE FIRST ROUND

The season came to an end for the Blinn Buccaneer Women this (Wednesday) afternoon as they lost to Casper College 72-61 in the opening round of the NJCAA National Championship Tournament.

The Bucs dug themselves an early hole. Casper outscored them 17-10 in the first quarter and 22-11 in the second round. This led to Blinn trailing 39-21 at halftime.

Casper outscored the Bucs 21-18 in the third quarter to build their lead up 60-39 going into the fourth quarter. Blinn won the fourth quarter 22-12, but by then, the deficit was just too much to overcome.

For the game, Casper shot 45.9% from the field, while Blinn only shot 29.7%.

Tocarra Johnson led the Bucs with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Chelsey Singleton added 17 points. Jonesha Neal chipped in with 10 points.

The Blinn Women finish the season with a final record 24-10.
