FOUR CRASH REPORTS AMONG FIVE CALLS FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. MONDAY
The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls of crashes on Monday, five calls in total.
The first report of a crash was shortly after 6:45 a.m. in the 1800 block of Highway 290 East. There, the department found a two-vehicle accident. Units checked for fluids, and no fluid mitigation was needed. They provided traffic control while law enforcement was on scene.
At 2 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for a crash in the 200 block of Kerr Street, but were canceled enroute with no further action needed.
At approximately the same time, a crash report came in for the 3000 block of Old Chappell Hill Road. Firefighters found a one-vehicle accident with some fluids leaking. The department cleaned up the spill before returning to service.
At 2:45 p.m., BFD members responded to a crash in the 1700 block of Old Independence Road. At the location, they discovered a one-vehicle accident. No fluid cleanup was needed, so firefighters cleared the scene.
Also on Monday, the department received a call of a grass fire at 1:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Zoo Lane. Upon making location, units found that the fire was already out before their arrival.
