BURTON SHUTOUTS OUT SOMERVILLE 10-0

While most of the games around the area were rained out last (Tuesday) night, the Burton Panthers were able to get their game in.

Burton defeated the Somerville Yeguas 10-0 in a District 26-2A game at Panther Field. The game was called after five inning due to the mercy rule.

Tyler Witt threw a no-hitter, walking just two, and striking out eight.

Brady Griffin had a big night at the plate with an RBI single and a three-run homer.

The Panthers also took advantage of five errors by the Yeguas.

The same two teams will go at it again on Friday at 6:30pm in Somerville.
