ONE CALL TUESDAY, ONE EARLY WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to one call on Tuesday and another early this (Wednesday) morning.

Around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called out to West Alamo Street and South Park Street for a report of a transportation incident.  They arrived to find a two-vehicle accident, with fluids leaking from one of the vehicles.  The department used dry absorbent on the spill and returned to service after the roadway was cleared.

At 2:45 a.m. today, units were dispatched to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 1206 Old Independence Road, for a report of a structure fire.  Firefighters made location to find nothing showing from the exterior of the building.  They checked the building and the roof, but nothing was found, so they returned to the station.
