The party came to downtown Brenham Saturday night with the second “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” concert of the summer.

The Houston-based Flashpoint Band performed classic rock, Motown and contemporary hits to entertain crowds all night long.

The Stray Katz Car Club was on hand with its popular vehicle cruise-in.  Concertgoers were able to enjoy food and drinks from local businesses and vendors, as well as free ice cream from Blue Bell as part of National Ice Cream Month.

The concert was sponsored by Blue Bell Creameries, Citizens State Bank, Strand Associates and Valmont Industries. BIG - Stop and Go Potties has donated portable bathrooms for all three weeks of the concert series.

The final performance of the summer will be this Saturday, bringing in A Sure Thing out of Houston.  The group offers high-octane performances covering everything from Top 40 favorites to timeless party anthems.  That concert will be sponsored by Dahmann & Associates, Budweiser – Mike Hopkins Distributing, Woodson Lumber Company and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
