The Blinn College Alumni and Friends Association will host an informational program Thursday, April 18, on its upcoming “Southern Charm Holiday.”

The special travel presentation will be held at 6 p.m. in the Brenham Campus Student Center, 1007 Walter Schwartz Way.

The seven-day “Southern Charm Holiday” package Dec. 10-16 will include stops in Charleston, S.C., Savannah, Ga., and Jekyll Island, Ga. Highlights include historic Charleston, Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens, the choice of a walking tour or a Fort Sumter Cruise in Charleston, James Island County Park Holiday Display, the choice of a Savannah Trolley City Tour or a walking tour, St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island, Sea Turtle Hospital, and Christmas caroling.

Charleston is noted for its charm, rich history, natural beauty, friendly people, and restaurants. Savannah has been called one of the world’s friendliest cities, with a reputation for style and grace. Jekyll Island on Georgia’s coast is a popular tourist destination and is home to a historic district that features numerous buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

“We are excited to have this opportunity to bond as alumni and continue to cultivate this great network that we are all proud to be a part of,” said Hannah Schulz, Chair of the Alumni and Friends Board of Directors. “The Southern Charm Holiday is the perfect setting to explore, get in the holiday season, and learn more about what Blinn is doing today.”
