WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET ON TUESDAY

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will be meeting in Special Session on Tuesday morning.

The Commissioners are scheduled to issue three proclamations.  The first will proclaim April 14-20 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. They are also going to proclaimed April as Autism Awareness Month, and Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month.

The biggest of the agenda items is the approval of the Paid Time Off (PTO) Transition Plan.  The plan has been the subject two workshop sessions.  After County employees were overwhelmingly against the first plan, Commissioners came out with a second plan, which was deemed more acceptable.

Two of the other agenda items will involve the Washington County Jail. One of the items is a jail camera maintenance agreement with Ageint Security, while the other is a Request for Qualifications for the provision of health care services at the jail.

The Commissioners will also discuss an interlocal agreement with the City of Burton for road improvement services.

In addition to that, Commissioners will decide on approval for a couple of subdivision variance requests and hear a presentation of the Human Resource Department’s quarterly report. 

The Washington County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
