BRENHAM POLICE MAKE THREE ARRESTS SATURDAY, INCLUDING TWO ON WARRANTS

  

Two warrant arrests were among three made by the Brenham Police Department on Saturday.

At 10:15 a.m., Officer Conforti stopped a vehicle in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West.  Investigation led to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver, 42-year-old Raheel Ansar Khan of Houston.  Khan was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana under 2oz.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., Sergeant Burns stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 2400 block of Highway 290 East.  Investigation revealed that the driver, 32-year-old Rafael Gil Gonzales of Brenham, had three active local warrants for his arrest: No Seat Belt; No Driver’s License; and Unauthorized Reproduction, Purchase, Use or Sale of Temporary Tags.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Matthew Bryce Jacobs

Just past 9:15 p.m., Officer Vieceli conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 1300 block of Prairie Lea Street.  The backseat passenger, 21-year-old Matthew Bryce Jacobs of Brenham, was found to have three active local warrants.  Jacobs was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for two warrants for No Driver’s License and one warrant for Failure to Control Speed.
