According to data from https://somerville.lakesonline.com, the lake measured at 240.18 feet as of 9 a.m. today (Wednesday).  That is 2 feet above the lake’s full pool cutoff of 238 feet, but still well under the flood pool level of 258 feet.

The last time the lake exceeded 240 feet was in May 2023, when it recorded at a high mark of 243.08 feet mid-month.

The lake has remained above the 238-foot full pool since late January, after flooding raised levels by six feet.

Meanwhile, levels along the Brazos River also increased.  As of 9 a.m. today, according to the National Weather Service, the Brazos River at Washington was 25.43 feet, with flood stage starting at 30 feet.  The river also recorded at 19.08 feet near Hempstead, with flood stage at 50 feet; 11.2 feet near Bryan, flood stage being 52 feet; and 97.34 feet above San Felipe, flood stage at 122.5 feet.
