CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL SPLITS FIRST MATCHES OF THE 2024 SEASON

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team opened up the season by splitting their two matches in Bryan yesterday (Tuesday). The Cubettes swept the Bryan Lady Vikings 3-0 in the first match with scores of 25-6, 25-15, and 25-20.

Aubrey Morrison led Brenham with eight kills and four aces. She also added five digs. Logan Hayslip led the defense with eight digs. Brinley Benson dished out 13 assists, while Jordan Graham added 12 assists.

In the second match, the Cubettes fell to the Waller Lady Bulldogs 3-1.

Waller won the first set 25-17. Brenham came back to win the second set 25-19, and tie it 1-1. However, Waller took the final two sets 25-18 and 25-13 to win the match.

For Brenham, Morrison had 11 kills and seven digs. Hayslip led the defense again with 19 digs. Benson finished with 14 assists, while Graham chipped in with 10 assists.

Next up, the Cubettes will be taking part in the Round Rock Westwood Tournament, which runs Thursday thru Saturday. They will open up the tournament on Thursday with matches against Willis at 3pm, and New Braunfels at 5pm.
