TWO ACCIDENTS AMONG THREE CALLS SATURDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to a pair of accident calls on Saturday.
Just past 2 p.m., firefighters received a report of a transportation incident in the 1800 block of Highway 290 East. They arrived to find a single-vehicle accident and proceeded to help EMS with patient care and remove debris from the roadway. The department then returned to service.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., another transportation incident was reported in the 1600 block of East Tom Green Street. There, units found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. They used dry absorbent on a spill and returned to the station after both vehicles were removed from the roadway.
The department had one other call on the day, responding at 12:15 p.m. to the Antique Rose Emporium, 10000 FM 50, for a report of two children locked inside a vehicle that was not running. While Brenham firefighters were on the way, members of the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department arrived on location to find the door was already unlocked, so they cancelled Brenham units.
