CITY OF BRENHAM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPENS COMMUNITY SERVICE GRANT APPLICATIONS
The City of Brenham has opened the application process for the Economic Development Department’s Community Service Grant funding.
In 1991, the Brenham City Council formed a Community Services Committee to provide grant funding to local organizations that provide services to the community to promote a public purpose and are for a public good.
Organizations may now apply for a community service grant by submitting an online application to the Economic and Community Development Director, Teresa Rosales, no later than the end of the day on Sunday, November 3rd. Paper applications are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, November 1st.
The city says there is not an established grant limit, but most successful applicants request money for smaller projects, programs or recurring overhead expenses.
The Community Services Committee is made up of three city councilmembers, with the Economic and Community Development Director serving as the staff liaison. The committee will review all requests and make funding recommendations to the city council.
Any organization that receives funding will be notified in writing of their award amount. Notifications and a check payable to the organization will be sent out in mid-January 2025.
