BURTON, SNOOK, GIDDINGS, AND SEALY TAKE PART IN STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET
The UIL State Cross Country Meet was held earlier this (Friday) morning at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock. The 2A, 4A, and 6A meets were held today (Friday), and the 1A, 3A, and 5A meets will be held tomorrow (Saturday). The Girls ran a 3,200-meter race, while the Boys ran a 5K race.
Peyton Sigsbee of Burton took part in the Girls 2A Meet. Sigsbee, who was making her third straight trip to state, finished 28th overall out of 151 runners with a time of 12 minutes 46 seconds.
Ethan Janac of Snook competed in the Boys 2A Meet. He finished with a time of 17 minutes and 49.5 seconds, which was good for 42nd out of 152 runners.
In the Girls 4A Meet, Kaitlin Wilson of Giddings finished 45th overall out of 152 runners with a time of 12 minutes and 22.7 seconds.
In the Boys 4A Meet, Tristian Martinez of Giddings was 52nd overall out of 152 runners with a time of 16 minutes and 53.5 seconds.
Also in the Boys 4A Division, members of the Sealy Tigers competed.
