“GHOSTLY GALA” RAISES BIG MONEY FOR CASA FOR KIDS
The "Ghostly Gala" fundraiser for the CASA for Kids of South Central Texas was a big success with over $70,000 being raised.
The event was held on Saturday, October 19, at the Fireman's Training Center in Brenham. Alton Elementary School Principal Michael Ogg served as the Master of Ceremonies, while Waller County Judge Trey Duhon was the guest speaker.
The Gala brought together local businesses, community members, and volunteers with one goal in mind: to support children who need a voice.
As part of the fundraiser, the local advocates were recognized including David Curtis, Sondra Brau, Vickie Pyle, Megan Jordan, Bruce Sloan, Abbe Ricke, and outgoing Board President David Sommer.
The Blinn Agricultural Student Group was commended for their volunteer work in helping with the Gala.
Their silent auction include contributions from over 50 different business.
