ELECTION DAY FOR 2024 GENERAL ELECTION
Election Day is here for the General Election.
Anyone who has not yet cast a ballot has a final chance today (Tuesday) to do so, as designated polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Early voting drew 14,375 participants out of 25,731 registered voters in Washington County, for a turnout of 55 percent.
Polling locations in Washington County on Election Day include:
- 101 – Friedens Church of Washington, 20322 FM 1155
- 104, 117, 121 – Washington County Expo Event Center, 1305 East Blue Bell Road in Brenham
- 109 – St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill, 8819 FM 2621
- 115 – Silver Wings Ballroom, 4100 Highway 105 in Brenham
- 203 – Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department, 5295 Main Street
- 205 – Brenham VFW Hall, 1200 East Tom Green Street
- 202, 208 – Salem Lutheran Church, 1500 Salem Road
- 307 – Brenham American Legion Hall, 903 North Park Street
- 311 – St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill, 8201 Old Gay Hill Road
- 312 – St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill, 6605 Old Independence Road
- 320 – Berlin-Mill-Creek Zionsville Volunteer Fire Department, 101 Lillie Lange Road
- 406, 418, 419 – Blinn College Student Center, 1007 Walter Schwartz Way in Brenham
- 410 – Burton Community Center, 13100 West Washington Street
- 413 – Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine, 6700 Wickel Road
The Washington County Courthouse Annex, which was the designated early voting location, is not a polling place today for Election Day.

The presidential and U.S. Senate races are drawing the most attention, but there are some area races as well. Among those are:
- District 12 State Representative, between Republican Trey Wharton and Democrat Dee Howard Mullins;
- U.S. Congressional District 10, between Republican incumbent Michael McCaul, Democrat Theresa Boisseau and Libertarian Jeff Miller;
- State Board of Education District 10, between Republican incumbent Tom Maynard and Democrat Raquel Saenz Ortiz.
All Washington County-specific races are uncontested.
