WASHINGTON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE MAKES SIX WEEKEND ARRESTS
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported six arrests over the weekend.
On Friday, shortly before 10 a.m., Deputy Matthew Brown was dispatched to the 100 block of Main Street in Brenham regarding a wanted person. Upon arrival, Deputy Brown confirmed that 25-year-old Derron Dewayne Flowers Jr. had an active arrest warrant out of Harris County for Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. Flowers was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
A few minutes before 2:30 p.m., Corporal Eric Crosby observed a vehicle failing to maintain a single lane and initiated a traffic stop in the 4700 block of Highway 36 North. Upon making contact with the driver, 59-year-old Jerry Lee Railsback of Killeen, Corporal Crosby detected signs of intoxication. Railsback was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Around 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Deputy Carson Holton conducted a traffic stop in the 8800 block of Highway 36 North for speeding. Following a probable cause search of the vehicle, the driver, 58-year-old Benny Dunn of Houston, was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less than 1 Gram. Dunn was taken to the Washington County Jail.
Just past 9:30 p.m., Deputy Holton stopped a vehicle for expired registration on Highway 290 West near North Berlin Road. During the stop, Deputy Holton observed illegal drugs in plain view. The passenger, 23-year-old Braelynd Paruszewski of Spring, was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less than 1 Gram.
Approaching 11 p.m., Deputy Eddie Martinez initiated a traffic stop for a defective headlamp in the 7200 block of Highway 290 East. The driver, 32-year-old Onyedikachi Oko of Spring, was found to have an active arrest warrant for Expired Registration out of the City of Brenham. Oko was booked in at the Washington County Jail.
Shortly after 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Deputies Martinez and Holton conducted a foot patrol in the 200 block of O’Malley Road. Deputies made contact with 54-year-old Christopher Ray Walker of Brenham and reported observing illegal drugs in plain view. The drugs tested positive for methamphetamine, and Walker was placed under arrest. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less than 1 Gram, and taken to the Washington County Jail.
