BELLVILLE BUSINESS OWNER ARRESTED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY WARRANT

  

A Bellville business owner was taken into custody earlier today (Wednesday) on a Child Pornography warrant.

The Office of the Attorney General in collaboration with the Bellville Police Department arrested 33-year-old Joseph “Joe” Jamil Daaboul, the owner of the Bellville Treats Ice Cream Shop.

Daaboul was served with a warrant for Possession of Child Pornography less than 100 Visual Representations Depicting a Child Under 10 Years of Age, which was enhanced to a second-degree felony.

He was taken to the Austin County Jail where bond was set at $500,000.

A subsequent search of the business turned up both mushrooms and methamphetamines.

Daaboul was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group One, which is a third-degree felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 2a, which is a second-degree felony.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
