PENELOPE NAMED PET OF THE WEEK
The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named Penelope as its Pet of the Week.
Penelope is a 1-year-old domestic short hair cat. Brenham Animal Services describes her as calm, happy and vocal, and she gets the “zoomies” when excited.
Penelope is litter-box trained and previously lived with a dog and a child, her best friends. She does have feline immunodeficiency virus, but staff members at the shelter say it is well-managed and rarely affects her.
The Brenham Pet Adoption Center is celebrating “Clear the Shelters” month with $50 adoptions all month long. The main “Clear the Shelters” event on August 23rd will have free adoptions, giveaways and fun for the kids.
