SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARRESTS THREE ON TRAFFIC CHARGES/WARRANTS
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people between Wednesday and early this (Thursday) morning.
A few minutes before 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Corporal Eric Crosby initiated a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Old Chappell Hill Road for no registration insignia. The driver, 58-year-old Russell Allen Connard of Brenham, was found to have active municipal court warrants. Connard was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with three counts of Display/Expired Registration and three counts of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
Around 3:45 p.m., Corporal Luis Pizarro conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Chappell Hill for speeding. The driver, 57-year-old Alvin John Rogers of Washington, had an outstanding warrant in Galveston County. Rogers was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Accident Involving Damage to a Vehicle Greater than or Equal to $200.
Approaching 2:15 a.m. today, Corporal Rosa Salinas conducted a traffic stop in the 4100 block of Highway 105 for an expired registration. Upon making contact, it was determined that the driver had an invalid driver’s license. 31-year-old Leroy Calley Moorehead was booked in at the Washington County Jail for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced.
