EARLY VOTING OPENS MONDAY FOR BURTON CITY COUNCIL ELECTION

  

Early voting for the Burton City Council election gets underway on Monday.

Three council incumbents, Tommie Gilmon, Jeff Eckhardt and Macey Tidwell, are challenged respectively by Sheila Ripple, Charly Ruemke and Berneake Gantt. 

Burton City Hall will be the designated early voting location on April 20, from April 22-24, and on April 27 and 28.  Voting hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. 

There will not be early voting on April 21, as it is San Jacinto Day, a state holiday.  There is also no weekend voting.

Voting for Election Day on Saturday, May 2nd will also be at Burton City Hall, with hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition to the Burton City Council election, Burton City Hall will serve as a voting location for the Giddings ISD Board of Trustees election. 

Five candidates are vying for two seats on the Giddings School Board, including incumbents Jason Locke and Roy Kruemcke Jr., as well as challengers Whitney Keilberg, Lori Melcher and Natalie Mendoza.
