TWO ACCIDENTS, FALSE FIRE ALARM FRIDAY FOR BRENHAM FD
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Friday.
Just before 11 a.m., units responded to a fire alarm at Melcher Hall, 601 Prairie Lea Street on the Blinn College campus. They found nothing showing from the exterior of the building, and they ultimately discovered a bad detector that caused the alarm to go off, so the alarm was reset.
Around 3:45 p.m., firefighters were dispatched for a transportation incident in the 1500 block of FM 389. They found a two-vehicle accident with no injuries and cleaned the roadway off, returning to service once the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
Another transportation incident was reported a few minutes after 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Highway 290 West. There, BFD members discovered a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. The department cleaned the roadway and cleared the call after the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
